'Thor' Surpasses Production Budget, Talks of Sequel

(CHRISHEMSWORTH.NET) - Thor continued its domestic success at the box office exceeding its production budget of $150 million. The total estimate for domestic sales on Thursday was set at $150.3 million, per Box Office Mojo. Including foreign sales of $249 million, the worldwide gross now tops $400 million setting the stage for a likely sequel.
Just one week after Thor's international release on April 21, Marvel film producer Kevin Feige acknowledged his intentions for sequels stating, "Thor will go off into a new adventure, and Captain America will continue to explore the modern world in another film of his own."
Fast forward to mid-May, sources tell Cinema Blend that a Thor sequel is already in the planning stages with any further developments happening after The Avengers, currently being filmed in New Mexico. The article reads,
